Church School
|
| |
Church School begins on September 11th, please take the time to fill out the 2011-12 Church School Registration Form for your child(ren) attending preschool through 12th grade.
The St. Barnabas Church School offers the Liturgy of the Word to students in grades preschool through grade twelve during the 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday mornings, from September through May. The mission of the Church School program is to develop active and committed Episcopalians that give freely of their time, talent and treasure for the benefit of God and others.

Varieties of teaching materials are utilized, and are tailored to specific grade levels.
Each year we teach a Holy Communion Curriculum in the 2nd Grade Classroom during the first 8 weeks of the school year, with the Celebration of Holy Communion on the Sunday before Thanksgiving at the 9:30 service. Confirmation classes are held each spring, and students are confirmed on the First Sunday in Pentecost.
St. Barnabas Church School holds an annual Student-led Eucharist that incorporates students of all ages. Students in grades 2-5 perform in the annual St. Nicholas Pageant and the Moses Pageant, and all students participate in a variety of service and mission projects throughout the school year.
