Small Groups at St. B.
Jesus had small groups, his closest friends, and the larger small group of his disciples, and because of those relationships, his ministry in the world was more effective. If Jesus behaved in this manner, we can be confident that this is God’s way. As Jesus said, “I pray that they may be one in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me. I have given them the glory you gave me that they may be one, as we are one.” (John 17:21-22)
A small group is a place where you can be known and know others and listen for God’s movement in your life through connecting for meaningful conversation and to grow in your faith and understanding of God’s call in your life. We continue to add small groups and opportunities to connect. If you need help finding a small group or have an idea for a group, please let us know!

SUNDAY REFLECTION GROUP
Join Rev. Jane and Rev. Greg between the services for a reflection on different topics related to faith and life.
Our current study is Reading the Bible with Mind and Heart
In this series, we will explore the Bible not simply as a single book, but as a rich collection of stories, poetry, history, wisdom, prophecy, and witness to God’s relationship with humanity. We will consider the variety of ways Scripture has been read throughout the Christian tradition—and how we might read it faithfully today.
LIFE OF PRAYER REFLECTION GROUP
Each Monday we gather in the Chapel of the Rose to learn and practice a variety of forms of prayer. Throughout the year, we have themed studies and invitations to learn and practice a variety of forms of prayer and meditation.
Our next themed study begins Monday, September 14, for a 4-week journey into meditative painting with Shelly Riemer - a gentle practice that blends creativity, mindfulness and spiritual reflection. No artistic experience is necessary. Please register to this special series to let us know if you can make it.
TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
The Bible Study group meets for conversation and reflection on Scripture and life using a variety of books to guide our study. No preparation needed, just join us on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall or by Zoom.

Meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
Becoming Beloved Community helps the parish create ongoing programs and activities that support The Episcopal Church’s long-term commitment to racial healing, reconciliation, and justice, with greater care for and preservation of God’s creation. Join us in dreaming and working to foster Beloved Communities where all people may experience dignity and abundant life and see themselves and others as beloved children of God. We welcome visitors or those interested in our work.

Do you love to read? Join the St. B. book club! We meet at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month at the church. Plus, we provide a Zoom link for those wishing to participate online. Check our Realm group for upcoming gatherings. Books are listed in the group events for that month.

20’S AND 30’S YOUNG ADULTS
Looking to build community and meet other people in their 20s and 30s? Our 20s & 30s Group gathers for casual, pop-up-style events throughout the year—from game nights and social gatherings to meals and other opportunities to connect. Bring your whole self—questions, interests, and all—and enjoy time with others in a similar stage of life.

MENS SATURDAY COFFEE
The Men's Coffee Group meets on the third Saturday of the month at 8:30 AM. Join us at the Dunkin Donuts backroom at 9321 Montgomery Rd. There is no agenda or set discussion topics, just some laid-back morning of camaraderie, catching up, coffee, juice, donuts or other snack items of your choice.
MOMS AND DADS GROUPS
Parenting is better together! Our Moms Group and Dads Group offer opportunities for parents to build community, form friendships, and support one another as we raise young Episcopalians. These groups meet for occasional, pop-up-style events throughout the year.

Open to all who have lost a spouse or partner from St. Barnabas and beyond. People of all backgrounds and traditions are welcome to participate, so we encourage you to share with anyone you know who is grieving the loss of a spouse. Hosted by Barbara Burke and Kit Meade.
