Summer Camp Opportunities

Is it just me, or does it suddenly feel as if summer is almost here? With warmer days and plants beginning to show signs of reawakening, many of us are balancing the day to day hustle while dreaming of summer joy and, maybe just maybe, rest. As you plan for this time of sunshine, school breaks, and changing childcare needs, I wanted to share some of the summer camp opportunities that are available around the Diocese.

  • Ready for that camp vibe but can't wait for summer? Join us for our Sunday night Lenten Series! We'll have a short, family friendly Eucharist service, camp themed meals, crafts and activities each week. Think tents, fishing, campfire songs, stargazing, and so much more. Each week is a stand alone so you can come to any that work for your family. Register here so we can plan ahead for food and activities.

  • Our own Art Camp at St. Barnabas is June 1 - 5 and is filling rapidly! It's our 10th anniversary and we have so much creativity and fun planned. Limited availability and registration is almost full!

  • Procter Center, in London, Ohio, offerings a wonderful selection of sleep away camps for all ages - including the truly incredible Family Camp. (And a little birdie told me that at least a couple St. B teens will be counselors...) If anyone is interested in organizing a St. B group to attend Family Camp 1, June 25-27, I'd be happy to help coordinate that effort and would love to join in the adventure! (Curious about Family Camp? Just ask Margo Rapp and her family about how awesome it is!)

  • Christ Church Cathedral, downtown, offers an excellent and very affordable music camp June 22-26 from 9am to 3pm. Local music educators will join Christ Church Cathedral music staff for a week of creating art and music with students ages 8 to 14. This year, they will even be building a small playable pipe organ together!

  • Friends for Good is offering their 11th annual Interfaith Harmony Camp July 27–31, 2026. Participants learn about other practices and cultures, play a lot of games, and get to know others from different walks of life.

I hope the following flyers and links are helpful to you in planning for summer joy.
