Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
This Easter, Sunday, April 4, the people of St. Barnabas participated in the Flowering of the Cross. This ancient and meaningful tradition represents the transition from Palm Sunday to Easter, from meditation on Jesus' death to joyful celebration of the resurrection.
Together we transformed a barren cross, a reminder of Jesus' death, into an Easter symbol. Covered with fresh, living flowers, the cross serves not only as an emblem of Jesus' resurrection but also of the continuing presence of Christ among today's Christians.
Together, let us make this Easter a celebration of new life!
A special thank you to David Browe and Warren Bamford for their help building and assembling our Easter cross.
