"The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life."
- Job 33:4
Our very own Beth Palmisano has graciously volunteered to lead a brand new 45-minute fitness class right here at St. Barnabas that will develop your body, your balance.
Beth is the granddaughter of Marylynn Eggleston and began attending St. Barnabas’ 8 a.m. service at the age of 7 with her grandfather and grandmother. Both of her children, Braden and Marylynn, were baptized at St. Barnabas, which has strengthened her connection to our church family.
When asked why she felt called to offer this class, she replied:
“I feel a strong connection to help promote a healthy lifestyle in our church family since enduring COVID. I am so fortunate that my mother and grandmother are my best friends and have lived such long and healthy lives. I want to help others in our church community lead healthy lifestyles so that they can continue their blessed relationships with their own family members."
Through the International Sports Sciences Association, Beth holds certifications as a personal trainer, exercise therapy specialist and coach and has an associates degree of applied sciences in dietetic technology and certified dietary management from Cincinnati State.
Beth will guide us through exercises that will be focused on:
Functional, everyday fitness
Low-impact movements utilizing our own body weight
Improving balance, flexibility and joint range of motion.
All exercises can be done seated or standing and everyone is welcome. This will be a low-impact beginners class and everything you need will be provided.
