First St. B @ 3 Concert Scheduled for March 12
The Starling Chamber Orchestra will present the first concert March 12 in the new St. B @ 3 concert series.
The Cincinnati Starling Project is a specialized pre-college program for talented young string players at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). In addition to private lessons, chamber music, and music theory, the Starling Chamber

Orchestra, uniquely offers many solo opportunities to perform concertos with live orchestras as part of its curriculum. String quartets founded in this program were honored with gold and silver medals at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and many of the young artists have won prizes in major international competitions.
Starling Project students and alumni have won prizes in national and international contests such as the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, The China International Violin Competition, and, as previously mentioned, the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition.
In addition to performing regularly in Cincinnati, the Starling Chamber Orchestra has toured throughout Europe, China, and Korea.
The following groups are scheduled to also perform:
May 7: For kids: Peanut Butter and Jam and Madcap Puppets
September 17: No Promises, an a cappella men’s vocal ensemble
November 5: Jazz vocalist Mandy Gaines and friends.
All concerts are on Sunday afternoons at 3 p.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. There is no charge for the concerts, but free will offerings are gladly accepted.
