Habitat Update - September 2023

Thanks again to everyone at St. Barnabas who supports our Habitat for Humanity ministry!

Our Harmony for Habitat benefit concert in August raised $4,709.20, including donations received after the event. We have transferred that amount to Habitat, in support of its ongoing mission to build affordable homes for families.

The most recent manifestation of this work occurred on Saturday, Sept. 16, when we dedicated two houses that our Eastside Coalition of Churches helped build throughout 2023 on Carolina Avenue in Cincinnati's Bond Hill neighborhood. Those houses will soon become the permanent homes of two families that have spent recent years working to earn them.

New Habitat ReStore coming to Loveland!

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati plans to open a new ReStore that will be located near Loveland. The store is to open in December in a former event hall at 10689 Loveland Madeira Road, in a mall just north of Interstate 275. It will be Habitat's sixth ReStore (four in Ohio and two in Kentucky), but the closest location to St. Barnabas.

ReStore is a division of Habitat which accepts donations of useable furniture, tools, building materials and home furnishings for resale at discount prices. The revenues help Habitat to build additional affordable homes for families.

You can drive donations to the ReStore, or request a pickup by calling the ReStore's donation line at (513) 721-4483, extension 2. Go to Habitat's website to learn what items are acceptable for donation and to learn more.

Thanks for your support of Habitat!
