Two New Habitat Houses Nearly Finished

Two Habitat homes are nearing completion with the help of volunteers from the Eastside Coalition of Churches, of which St. Barnabas is a member.

The houses are located at 2028 and 2026 Sixth Avenue in the Cincinnati suburb of Springfield Township, a.k.a. West College Hill.

The houses are slated for completion in March. They are awaiting driveways and other finishing touches.

Not shown in these pictures is the house at right, 2024 Sixth Avenue, which was dedicated in December and is already occupied by a family.

Next up, we are told, is a two-story house to be built a few blocks away along Third Avenue.

As a reminder, this year's Habitat-designated Eastside Coalition build will be in the village of Lockland. The start date is likely sometime in May.

Eastside volunteers teamed with other volunteers to build several houses in Lockland a few years ago, so this will be a return to familiar territory.
