Warm Winter Welcome Through I.H.N.

Jada Hill, Sue Kirkpatrick, and Susan Crabill help with clean-up at IHN.

St. Barnabas warmly welcomed four families to Christ Church Glendale on Sunday, December 8 through Interfaith Hospitality Network (I.H.N.). As a supporting congregation, we provided dinner for all, plus two overnight hosts, and activity leaders for the children. The families gathered before dinner with a simple prayer led by a very young child. Our menu included two types of lasagna, hamburger pasta, vegetables, bread, salad, and cookies.

Mike and Denise Eck made sure all was ready at Christ Church with ease and cheer! Food providers, dinner hosts, and overnight hosts from St. Barnabas included Kathy Kugler, Jada Hill, Lisa Elmendorf, Tim Young, Tom and Sue Kirkpatrick, John Nolan, Susan and Clark Crabill, Slocomb Reed, and Nicole Mattson.

Our next hosting occasion is Monday, January 13. (The date has been moved back a day from our usual Sunday to accommodate our 40th Anniversary Kickoff Pasta Potluck.) If you are interested in participating, please reach out to Lisa Elmendorf or email Nicole at communications@st-barnabas.org.
