Youth Group Events - Summer 2022

Spring is in the air, graduation is around the corner for some of our youth, and we've got some great opportunities to gather in both friendship and service this summer!

If you have questions about Youth Group or ideas for things you'd like to do, please contact Rev. Jane.

Diocesan Cincinnati Youth Gathering

Sunday, May 22

4 - 6 p.m.

Grades 6 - 12

The Web Extreme Entertainment

7172 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069

All students grades 6-12 are invited to join us for an end-of-the-school-year celebration at The WEB Extreme Entertainment in West Chester.

Several other Episcopal youth groups will be gathering together from across the Diocese, something we have long awaited. Come celebrate with us!

Please RSVP by filling out the waiver for the event.

If you have any questions, please contact Tym House, minister for youth and young adults at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.

Backyard Mission Experience

Tuesday, July 5 - Friday, July 8

Grades 6 - 12

Backyard Mission Experience will be a local mission experience where we will serve for a week, alongside ministries throughout Cincinnati.

Students entering Grade 6 through those graduated from Grade 12 will be participating in things like building projects, creation care, day camps, communing with those who are experiencing homelessness and sickness, and more.

This event is a collaboration between The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, St. Barnabas, Christ Church Cathedral, and others!

Youth will have the opportunity to choose which days they want to serve during the week, if participating in the entire week is not possible.

Each day, we will have a speaker who will talk with us about a specific social justice issue, and our service for the day will correlate with that topic.

The heart behind this experience is transformation through justice-minded serving, meaningful interactions, and individual/group reflection in order to see the work that God is already doing and how God is calling each of us to partner in that Kingdom work. The hope is that we will gain a renewed energy and sense of where God is leading us to continue serving in our local communities throughout the year.

Appropriate COVID-19 protocols will be followed, as necessary.

Complete the registration & waiver online.

If you have any questions, please contact Tym House, minister for youth and young adults at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.
