Celebrate Earth Day with St. Barnabas




Join St. Barnabas parishioners in celebrating Earth Day! Members of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will be participating in upcoming Earth Day events. We hope you and your family will join us and several other Episcopal congregations from around Cincinnati as we practice creation care together, this April 23.



Lick Run Greenway Greenup

Saturday, April 23

10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

1645 Queen City Ave., South Fairmont


The "Lick Run Greenway Greenup” event is being organized to help spruce up the Lick Run Greenway for Earth Day. Read more about the event and Greenway.


Greenup activities include trash pickup, weeding, and installation of a peace pole and bee hives. All necessary equipment will be supplied.


This is an outdoor event, so please dress accordingly.


A light breakfast will be provided prior to the Greenup and lunch will be offered following the event, courtesy of the South Fairmount Community Council. Stick around for an afternoon of Earth Day activities.


Youth are welcome and encouraged to participate!


Car pool from St. Barnabas (meet around 9:30 a.m.), or meet us at the shelter adjacent to the main parking lot at 1645 Queen City Avenue, South Fairmount, 45214, at 9:30-9:45 a.m.


The organizers are also creating t-shirts for participants. Please RSVP here to reserve your t-shirt by March 31, 2022. Email Melissa Vath if you have questions.


Cincinnati Earth Day Festival

Summit Park, Blue Ash


If you're still in the Earth Day spirit after the Greenup, join us at the free Cincinnati Earth Day Festival in Blue Ash at Summit Park Earth Day afternoon. Learn more about the event.


There will be lots of fun booths and activities, as well as chances to learn more about how you can help to save the planet.


Please plan to join the Summit Park activities Saturday afternoon. Happy Earth Day, and join us to make a difference in the world!
