Volunteering at Church
Throughout the week, and especially in Sunday morning, there are many opportunities for St. B members to volunteer to support the inner life of our church community. Teaching Church School, serving on the altar, and helping in the office are three main ways that you can help support your fellow St. B members. Below are resources to help members begin volunteering and to gather the information they need to succeed in those volunteer roles.
Safe Church Training
Church School volunteers, Vestry members, volunteers who work with youth or vulnerable adults, and church staff are required to complete Safe Church training every three years.
Realm Connect and Volunteers
At St. Barnabas we use Realm Connect to manage a variety of our community interactions, particularly volunteers. Here are a collection of help articles to make Realm Connect easier to use. Note that these directions are for the desktop version of Realm Connect, the App navigation is different but these tasks are available.
Children’s Ministry Teachers
On Sunday mornings a collaborative team of staff and volunteers work together to create meaningful formation classes for our children. Here are some resources to help you plan for and lead a Godly Play or Sunday’s Kool Experience Class.
